Andrew Demeter, P.Eng, Chapter Chair Andrew is the Chair of the Etobicoke Chapter. He is a licensed professional engineer with a background in mechanical design, leadership, and problem solving. Andrew earned his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto and later pursued an MBA at the Schulich School of Business. He is currently enrolled in the Pathways Leadership Development Program at Amazon where he aims to further develop his leadership abilities.  Andrew has been involved with the Etobicoke Chapter since September 2013.
Screen Shot 2015-03-17 at 3.09.28 PMLinda Drisdelle, P.Eng, MBA, FEC, Executive Member Linda holds a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Toronto, a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Ottawa, and an MBA from the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management.In 2009 Linda was recognized for substantial service to the profession of engineering and was named a member of Professional Engineers Ontario’s Order of Honour. In 2011 Linda was named a Fellow of Engineers Canada for noteworthy service to the engineering profession.

He is a licensed professional engineer with a background in mechanical design, leadership, problem solving and manufacturing and a MBA 2016 candidate. George has been involved with the Etobicoke Chapter since February 2013.
Tarun Biju, M.Eng, P.Eng, Past Chair & GLP Chair Tarun is Structural/Environmental engineer and entrepreneur who achieved outstanding success through hard work and perseverance. He constantly proves his ability to successfully complete project on time and within budget. He is trained in ISO 9000 (Quality management), ISO 14000 (Environmental management), ISO 26000 (Social responsibility) and ISO 31000 (Risk management). He has over 30 years of experience in ICI projects, high-rise residential projects, health care facilities and various defense infrastructure projects, along with substantial expertise in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), Value engineering, and Sustainable engineering.”
example exec pictureMichael Burdett, EIT, Executive Member Michael is a new Executive member with the Etobicoke chapter. He is enthusiastic to volunteer his time in the local engineering network and the community. Michael Co-chairs the EIT committee in the chapter and works on making PEO accessible to new members through joint EIT & P. Eng events. Currently working for a chemical manufacturer as a plant EIT, Michael is passionate about safe and efficient engineering design and is currently working on his project management experience.
George Comrie, P.Eng, FEC An accomplished professional engineer with a diverse track record as a consultant, entrepreneur, business executive and leader in private and not-for-profit enterprises. A champion of public policy on scientific and technical matters with solid expertise in information and communications technology, software engineering and transportation systems. Excels at building high performance teams that create and deliver value-added products and services.

Preeti Gorapalli, P.Eng, Executive Member
Preeti is a graduate of Chemical Engineering at the University of Toronto and has worked in the Environmental sector for the past 7 years providing technical expertise to help clients meet air quality standards and regulations in industrial facilities across Canada. Preeti is passionate about volunteering within the community and has dedicated hours to societies such as the Etobicoke Humane Society (EHS), Habitat for Humanity and as a Vision Mate at the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB). She has been involved with the Etobicoke Chapter of PEO since January 2015.


Edna Hon, P.Eng, Executive Member
Edna is a professional engineer with a background in telecommunications and information technology. She presently leads large-scale projects to introduce new apps and websites integrated with complex back-end systems. Edna holds an Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Toronto, and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management. She is passionate about technology and inspiring females to pursue a career in engineering.
Harvey Pellegrini, P.Eng, FASM, FEC Harvey Pellegrini is a graduate of Ryerson Institute of Technology (now Ryerson University) and the University of Toronto. He is a registered professional engineer in the province of Ontario, an ASM Life member, author of a number of technical publications, and serves on various professional societies and advisory committees in both Canada and the U.S.
Suzanne Santyr, MBA, P.Eng, LEED AP BD+C, Chapter Secretary Suzanne is a senior professional Engineer and Manager in the Buildings Engineering Consulting industry with over 30 years of experience in management, project management, business development, strategic planning, and financial analysis.  Prior to her consulting career, she spent several years in federal government (NRCAN) dealing with aging infrastructure, sustainability, and energy management including a term as a senior policy advisor in the National Climate Change Secretariat.  Recently relocated from Ottawa, she has been involved with the Etobicoke Chapter of PEO since January 2015.

She is not new to dedicating her time to volunteer service and loves new opportunities to get involved. She has worked across Canada and has experience in the oil and gas, metallurgical, and educational design industries. Currently working in the engineering consulting sector, she is developing her process design and project management skills.
