This year’s PEO Etobicoke Annual General Meeting took place on January 26, 2017. The evening began with some networking over wine and cheese, before the meeting began. The agenda included the distribution of service awards, a summary of past and upcoming member events, a review of the chapter financials and an open call for feedback and new business. This year’s executive team was decided. Minutes were taken and will be uploaded here shortly. The talk was also followed by a presentation from Jim McKay, from the Avleca group about professional development, career management and performance reviews.
Jim McKay is President of the AVLECA Group, a business consulting firm offering facilitation, strategy and supply chain services to businesses of all sizes. Prior to founding AVLECA, he was a supply chain executive at Walmart Canada, with leadership positions in End to End Supply Chain Strategy across the organization and head of the Canadian Transportation team. At Praxair, Jim led various teams ranging from logistics, product management, continuous improvement and industrial sales.
Jim holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario and an Executive MBA from Queens University. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA), certified Six Sigma Blackbelt and CCLP – CITT Certified Logistics Professional.
