This years Annual General Meeting took place at the Islington Golf Club on January 28, 2016. In additional to a review of the year’s activities and the introduction to this years chapter executive team, the AGM also featured a speaker from the Alzheimer’s Society of Toronto. The talk discussed an overview of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia including symptoms, risk factors, as well as programs and services provided by the Alzheimer Society of Toronto. The event was geared towards creating awareness about Alzheimer’s and dementia and discussing the impact that they have in today’s society.

About the Speaker:
Esther Atemo is a Public Education Coordinator at Alzheimer Society of Toronto. Esther holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Guelph and a Masters of Arts from the University of Guelph. Esther has been a part of the Alzheimer Society of Toronto team for over six years.
